 2009 Australian Open

3, 4 & 5 March

On their last concert tour of Australia in June 2006, Coldplay sold out a total of ten arenas shows, playing to more than 100,000 people, garnering rave reviews and leaving rapturous fans in their wake. In a rare move for the Australian market, Coldplay will go on-sale with two shows in each of the East Coast cities to ensure as many tickets as possible are made available to meet the demand that was set the last time they toured.

There are few who would contest Eric Clapton’s reputation is one of the world’s finest guitarists, often revered as the ‘musician’s musician’. An extraordinary career spanning over 50 years, seemingly countless releases, and accolades too numerous to list. Setting out in the '60's with The Yardbirds and evolving through Cream, in 1970 Clapton’s career began a new solo chapter. Clapton has contributed to albums of artists such as Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Elton John, Sting, Joe Cocker, Roger Waters, Steven Stills, Aretha Franklin, Rolling Stones, Plastic Ono Band, and most famously George Harrison’s While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Now in his 60’s Slowhand doesn’t appear to be showing signs of retirement.
